WQLC is a Quebec charitable organization that trains and supports volunteer tutors to provide free, confidential, one-on-one lessons to adult learners seeking to improve their reading, writing, math, computer or communication skills.
WQLC also provides family literacy services and trains volunteers to read with strugglin elementary school students through their Reading Buddies program.
One lady worked with me for a year or so. She was a single mom in her 40’s and had not had a job for many years. Her son wanted a driver’s license which she could not afford. After learning how to do resumes and being inspired by her son’s need, she has acquired a steady job and has been working for several years now.
